Saint Paul’s is a school which caters solely for children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
Our aim is to provide an Education to each child, which reflects their needs and is delivered in a holistic manner. Therefore we look to all the needs of the child whether these are social, spiritual, physical or academic.
The staff at the school works closely with the Multi-Disciplinary team in St Paul’s Child and Family Care Centre, which is based on the same campus.
The team based on St. Paul’s site, comprises of Psychiatry, Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists Occupational Therapists and Nursing Staff. This ensures that a multi-disciplinary team is available to each child attending St Pauls’ Special School.
Art lessons have benefits both practical and emotional. Some young autistic pupils may struggle with their fine motor skills.
Home Economics programmes are aimed at providing students leaving St. Paul’s with skills for life.
Pupils benefit greatly from gardening as it engages all five senses and offers a calm, soothing way to provide sensory stimulation.
Pupils with an ASD diagnosis can respond in surprising ways to creative teaching methods.
Activities are carefully chosen to promote communication, cooperation, and expression in a meaningful and engaging way.
Woodwork is a vocational training program that works directly with each individual child.
St. Paul’s Special School isn’t just about academics—it’s a supportive space where students grow socially, emotionally, and creatively. Through personalized support and engaging activities, each child’s unique strengths and potential are nurtured.
